In addition to Manchego cheese, several other foods from Castilla-La Mancha are recognized by the EU as PDO (Protected Designations of Origin), PGI (Protected Geographical Indications), TSG (Traditional Speciality Guarantees) or as Organic.
Vegetable oil and wines, cheese and lamb, melons and honey, garlic and eggplants, saffron and marzipan: all are products with one of these designations. Together they comprise a rich and varied shopping basket, who combine well with each other to the benefit and pleasure of the diner.
Taking these basic products as a starting point, we should go over the essential ingredients of such a spectacular pantry, which is blessed with the loving care of the people in the farming, livestock and food sectors, without which it would be completely impossible to have reached the present standards of quality.
