Consorico Serrano Ham as part of the Spanish Gastronomy

Due to its flavour and aroma, Consorcio Serrano Ham has always been a favored food in Spain. It also pairs well with many beverages –beer, sherry, fruit juice, wines of all kinds (reds, whites, rosés, young, aged, reserves, grand reserves, fortified or sparkling) and liqueurs, only adding to its appeal.

The Nutritional Properties of Consorcio Serrano Ham

The Consorcio-endorsed Serrano Ham is an extremely healthy food, with the following nutritional properties per 100 g of product:

- 30-35 grams of protein, which provides essential ‘building blocks’ for the body
- 8-14 grams of fat, which the body needs for its reserves and as a precursor of other vital processes
- 4-6 grams of common salt
- Fortified with B-group vitamins and minerals such as iron, phosphorous, zinc and calcium

Both its protein and fat content make Consorcio Serrano ham a highly digestible product.
